GET READY

Preparing For An Emergency

Why Bother?

It won't happen to me, or will it? It is not a matter of will it happen... it is a matter of when. Are you ready?

No one wants to be involved in a major disaster but it is obvious that the world is changing and natural disasters are happening across the globe. Is Russell immune from such events? The truth is no. It is easy to feel secure in the comfort of our own home because for most of us nothing has ever really happened to burst our bubble.

Turn off the water, gas and power to your home. You can't use the toilet either. Still in your comfort zone?

You need to prepare yourself and your family now while you have time because at a minumum you may be faced with no outside help for up to three days in a civil emergency.

Did the people of Christchurch think they were about to have an earthquake before it eventuated? No. Most knew they were not living on an known earthquake fault. So why even plan for an earthquake. Had they known that an earthquake was imminent do you think most would have prepared for the event?

Like it or not. Plan for it or not. Major events are happening throughout the world. Being prepared for a disaster before it happens is the most sensible course of action.

DO SOMETHING NOW

You cannot reverse time. You owe it to yourself and your family to take reasonable precautions. Prepare now to survive.
